Wall Gallery

I have been wanting to put a wall gallery in our bedroom for a long time but it is so hard to get any projects done around the house with the kids.  I have to strategically plan the times that I work on any projects around the house when the kids are napping or down for the night.  I have had a pile of frames that I bought from Ikea for a few months now and have been anxious to get them up on the wall.

Here is what the room looked like before.  (The pictures are not very good due to the cloudy days of winter and the high ceilings in our room.)

 

I got this idea from another blog, I honestly can not remember which one.  You take a trace out of the frame that you are going to use and lay it out on the wall the way you want.  It made it really easy for measuring and making sure that the frames were right where I wanted them.

I just used wrapping paper that I had from the dollar store.

 

Here it is will all the frames in place.

 

 

Here is the end result.  The photos are from our most recent photo shoot and some of my favorite photos of the kids.  The top picture frame is three heart shaped maps of where George and I met, honeymooned and currently live.  I found the idea on Pinterest and liked the idea.

 

 

 

 

I love the way that it turned out.  At some point I would like to buy new bedding for bed, but I will have to save my money first!  I wish the pictures came out better, definitely looks better in person.
