Cleaning, Purging and an Updated Chair

Well, I think both George and I have come to the conclusion that we are done having kids.  It took me a little longer to come to the conclusion then George! We are so happy with the blessings that we have been given that we want to make the most of them.  There have been a couple times where I have been sick and the thought of taking care of a baby and the other three did not sound good.  I want to be able to give my kids the best of me and adding one more, I am not sure that I would be able to do that.

We have not made any decisions to do anything permanent and if for some reason we were to get pregnant, we would know that God wanted us to have one more.

So, now that we have come to that conclusion I have been on a cleaning, purging and on a selling spree.  There has been one time that I broke down while going through the kids clothes but have seemed to be ok once I had my cry.

At some point soon, I plan to have a sale inside my home to sell all the things that we will not longer need.  If your interested in coming please email me and let me know.

On another note I was given this chair from my mom that she got from a neighbor and asked if I wanted it.  I knew that I could do something to cover the chair and update it, since I was not fond of the primary colors.

I went to Ikea over the weekend and bought one of the Faux Sheep Skin Rugs

It fit perfect and I just folded it over the chair.  At some point I will use safety pins to keep it in place but did not have any on hand.

Of course I had to have someone model it.

The kids love how soft it is.  They have been fighting over it all day!

  1. Awwww, I had a good cry too when we finally took our crib down. I think it was the finality of it all. That chair looks great! Although those primary colors would have looked fab in your Mom's playroom downstairs - the one with the rainbows and clouds. :)
